Apple Magic Mouse 2 (Wireless, Rechargeable) – Silver

This Apple Magic Mouse 2 design encourages you to palm it, which is great, it’s very comfortable once you’ve decelerated. This means that a right mouse click will not register unless lifting my middle finger of the device. Imagine a slight irritation every time you right-click.

Finally, this device is symmetrical front to back with the Apple logo at the bottom. The reason it’s easy to mistake using it upside-down is that the logo acts as a visual cue for action, which is exactly the opposite of the way this device works.

It is nice-looking, its coating shines in the light, and it has a striking aluminum build at the bottom. The build is invisible in normal use. The reason I still use it is that it supports gestures using a gliding motion instead of a physical wheel. In a way, it’s a piece of art. But it’s not a marvel in design.

Pros:

  • Internal battery so there is no need to change it.
  • A cable is provided to charge the mouse.
  • Gestures are supported on this mouse so once you master them there is no need to use the Macbook’s trackpad, a productivity boost once all the gestures are learned.
  • 4 Is very portable.
